Joo-in Lee, violinist, and Minna Sungmin Han, pianist, began to perform as a duo in 2007. Since then, they have been invited to perform at various venues in the United States including: Boston, New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles and their hometown of Seoul, South Korea. The duo gave a recital at Carnegie Weill Hall as a result of winning the Artist International Presentation Award in 2008.
As active solo and chamber music players, these two musicians formed an ensemble named 'Ensemble Mosaic'. The ensemble was formed to provide a platform for the artists to perform with different combinations of players and instruments to inspire 'mosaic' in art where the addition of players and instruments can create unique perspectives and sounds.
Because their passion and devotion for the music are easily captured by the audience, they are requested to perform at the same venues year after year. Moreover, these two musicians grab the audiences' attention with the heartfelt performances and vibrant sounds from their instruments that inspire the audience.
